Pattayas most impressive construction is located just s few steps from the sea in Naklua. The Sanctuary of Truth is a gigantic wooden construction which covers the area of more than two rais. The top point of the building is about 105 meters high. The building was constructed according to ancient Thai creativity and every square centimeter of the building is covered with wooden carved sculptures. The purposes of decorating with wooden carved sculptures are to use art and culture as the reflection of ancient vision of earth, ancient knowledge and eastern philosophy. Visiting this complex, visitors will understand ancient life, human responsibility, basic thoughts, cycle of life, life relationship with the universe and common goals of life towards Utopia. |

Often we hear tourists commenting on the, for westerners, slightly chaotic traffic in Thailand and especially here in Pattaya. They grin, point and shake their heads when looking at passing road users in all sorts of different vehicles. Above all, motorcyclists that have more passengers than we thought were humanly possible. On top of that, the safety is often overlooked for the people on and around these two wheeled inventions with worn down brakes, overloaded and at many times with insufficient lighting. Often without helmet!!! |
